Description

The Chicago Booth DC Entrepreneur's Advisory Group will meet on October 21 from 7-9 pm at the offices of Wilson Sonsini at 1700 K Street. Free and open to all.

Our speaker this month will be David James, founder of CoWork Cafe in Arlington. Did you see the recent article in the post about how coffee shop owners employ strategies to keep people from camping out all day on one latte? David has a solution. He writes:

CoworkCafe is a model for turning underutilized retail space into shared workspaces during daytime hours. In other words, we help turn existing bars and restaurants into convenient coworking locations. By catering to the needs of the self-employed, freelancers, and remote workers, we are are to provide consistent income for retail food establishments, while adding a vibrant work option for the community. CoworkCafe is a workspace, and cafe, and a community all in one convenient location.

Join us as we help David and his partner think through some issues as they plan their expansion. Pizza and soft drinks provided by our hosts, Wilson Sonsini.
